In a world filled with stories, Africa's narrative has often been oversimplified, misinterpreted, or lost in translation. At MonTrail, we ask: what if there's more to Africa than we've been told?

Born out of a profound love for the continent of Africa, we started MonTrail not claiming to have all the answers but with a genuine curiosity and commitment to showcasing a more encompassing view of Africa and it's relationship to the rest of the world.

More often than not the mainstream media casts a singular light on the continent of Africa, and while some of it may ring true, there's so much more left untold. Our approach is not just to challenge misconceptions, but to introduce you to the multitude of voices, colours, and rhythms that make up the essence of Africa.

We're on a mission to bring forward tales that often remain hidden, stories of everyday heroes, a rich tapestry of cultures and histories, age-old traditions and the significant role Africa plays on the global stage.

With every narrative we share, our hope is to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Africa, encouraging everyone to look beyond the surface and discover her complexity and nuance.
